In line with the Hon'ble Prime Minister's vision of creating garbage-free cities and promoting the ‘Swachhta Hi Seva’ campaign, today all formations of the National Disaster
Response Force (NDRF) conducted a cleanliness drive in their respective areas of deployment, reinforcing the commitment for a cleaner and healthier environment.
On this occasion Sh Piyush Anand, IPS, DG NDRF along with officers and troops of NDRF HQ conducted the cleanliness drive from 08 AM to 10 AM in the area of Sadiq Nagar, New Delhi. In this event, local residents/ RWA representatives, MCD administration, more than 100 students of MCD, Sarvodaya and KV schools also took active part with full zeal and enthusiasm.
The drive commenced with the Swachhta Oath administered by DG NDRF to all the participants, pledging to maintain cleanliness in their surroundings and contribute to realizing Mahatma Gandhi’s dream of clean India.
Shri Piyush Anand, IPS, DG NDRF along with Shri Narendra Singh Bundela, IPS, IG NDRF and other senior NDRF officers, also engaged with students, raising awareness and the significance of a clean and healthy environment.
NDRF also conducted free medical camp on the occasion in which medical checkup and consultation was provided to nearby residents.
DG NDRF felicitated hygiene and sanitation staff of MCD as a gesture of gratitude for their role and contribution in maintaining a clean and healthy environment.
