R.K. PACHNANDA, IPS TAKE OVER AS DG, NDRF

Shri R K Pachnanda, a 1983 batch Indian Police Service (IPS) officer of West Bengal Cadre, took over the charge of Director General NDRF.

Sh. R.K. Pachnanda is having a very illustrative carrier which was recognised by the centre as well as state from time to time.

Before joining the NDRF, Shri R K Pachnanda, IPS was serving as the Additional Director General (ADG) in CISF. He has served as IG in BSF, ADG in CRPF and also had a stint as the Kolkata Police Commissioner.

NDRF is an elite humanitarian Force of the country having the strength of 12 battalion located across the Nation as per the vulnerability profile of region. Force is mandated to respond to all kind of disasters in the country and beyond boundaries.
