NDRF SAVED 02 PRECIOUS HUMAN LIVES
Date : 09th November, 2016 Time: 1900 hrs.
Today, at about 1315 hrs, an under construction building collapsed at New Madhukam, Ratu road, Ranchi in Jharkhand and 02 people namely Manoj Dungdung, aged-24 years and Umesh Kumar Rajak, aged-35 years, Resident of Ratu Road trapped underneath the rubble. On receipt of information from local administration at 1430 hrs, 01 Search and Rescue (SAR) team of National Disaster Response Force (NDRF) comprising of 30 rescuers along with Collapse Structure Search and Rescue (CSSR) equipment rushed to collapsed site from Regional Response Centre (RRC), Ranchi and started search & rescue operation at 1500 hrs.
The NDRF responders displayed high degree of expertise to search and save the lives of victims trapped under the debris. During the 2 hours long search and rescue operation, NDRF rescued both the victims alive and provided them pre-hospital treatment and further shifted them to nearest hospital for treatment.
