NDRF MOBILISED 03 SEARCH AND RESCUE TEAMS TO SRINAGAR

Dated 7th April, 2017 Time: - 1400 Hrs

National Disaster Response Force (NDRF) has mobilized its 03 search and rescue teams from its Bhatinda base to Srinagar where snow fall and rain in Kashmir Valley for last couple of day created flood like situation. NDRF teams are fully equipped with Rubberized Inflatable Boats, life jackets, life buoys and all other necessary equipment to deal with any disastrous situation likely to be caused by the flood. The teams are also equipped with satellite phones to be in communication with higher head quarter.

In addition, some teams are kept as stand by at NDRF base Bhatinda, Punjab for movement at short notice if required.

A 24x7, NDRF control room in Delhi is monitoring the situation round the clock and in touch with other agencies.
